Terms of Use

These terms govern how Transport Carbon Review is read, quoted and reused. They apply to every page on this site, including corridor notes, method write-ups, spreadsheets and interview transcripts.

What this publication covers

We publish editorial notes on freight emissions, rail corridor activity and fleet decarbonisation in South Africa. Articles describe methods, data sources and observed results. They are reporting, not engineering sign-off, and they do not replace a site-specific assessment before you change a route, a factor set or a reporting baseline.

Using the material

You may read, cite and reference our articles with clear attribution to Transport Carbon Review. Republishing full texts, reselling compiled datasets or feeding our method notes into commercial training material requires written permission from the editors. Short quotations in internal reports are fine.

Reader responsibilities

Figures, emission factors and corridor averages change. If you apply anything from this site to a disclosure, a tender or an audit file, you are responsible for verifying the inputs against your own telematics, fuel records and tonne-kilometre data. We do not control what your fleet actually burned.

Limits of our liability

The site is provided as-is. We are not liable for operational, contractual or reporting losses arising from decisions taken on the basis of an article, a chart or a reader comment. Where third-party data is quoted, the original source carries its own accuracy limits.

Reader submissions and tips

Corridor tips, corrections and interview material sent to the editors may be edited for length and clarity. By sending a submission you confirm you have the right to share it and that it does not breach a confidentiality agreement with your employer or client. We may decline or remove material at our discretion.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms, retire sections or close the site. Material changes are noted on this page with a revised date. Continued use after an update means you accept the current version. Access may be withdrawn where use interferes with the site or breaches these conditions.
